It saddens me to learn that 22 year old Montae "Mbone" Talbert of Cali Swag District was gunned down. If you are not familiar with the group I am positive you are familiar with the hit song Teach Me How To Dougie. They had everyone dougie-ing from neighborhood kids to Ellen Degeneres. No one knows why he was murdered but it is speculated that it is a "wrong time wrong place" situation.
My issue with this news is that his life was taken from him. Will we ever stop killing each other when all we have is each other. I can honestly say that our race (African American) is the one of the few races that does not stick together. We allow stupid things such as street credit, materialism, and gossip come in between the bonds we could have. If we would just stop letting things that do not matter dictate our actions we would be better off. If you are not familiar with the Willie Lynch Letter then I advise you get familar with it and realize that we are losing a fight much bigger then anything happening on Fox 5 news.
MY MESSAGE: WE ARE ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS & WE HAVE TO STICK TOGETHER.
Condolences go out to his family and all of of those who have lost someone dear to them.
